Fox News Bashes Evan Almighty - But Why?

Well, it has to do with the fact that most of it's attempts at reaching a Christian audience are being seen as "failures".

However, being a Church-goin' fella myself I have to say that I haven't really looked at Evan Almighty as either "trying to pander to the religious crowd" nor a mockery of the tales of the Bible.

It does have some misguided areas like claiming that God is more interested with random acts of kindness more than salvation and the removal of Sin, but I don't think that Hollywood was trying to rewrite the Dogma here. I just think they were wanting to make a film that anyone could be entertained with and they used a topic that wasn't threatening or offensive (unless your an atheist and in that case you always offended so get over it) to the majority of people who are movie goers anyways.

Besides, the writer calls the movie a "bomb" but it WAS number one at the box office and it's only been out at the box office for a single weekend. Hardly a bomb.

Oh, by the way...

Apparently there's this big news story going on in London over across that big body of water thats attached itself to my country.

Here is the link.

While watching the news networks and listening to some people on the radio it's like people are sticking their fingers in their ears and saying "lalalalalala" really loud when people start mentioning "terrorism". This is one of the biggest cases of denial I have seen in a while.

They say the devices are similar to the IED type suicide bombs that are used in Iraq, but they still wont add 1 and 1 together to make 2 yet. Oh, now they say there is a muslim website that talks about some kind of punishment for Europe because they knighted Sir Rushdie.

Ah, my bad....how could I have ever thought that the "Religion of Peace" (Islam) was involved.

This Blog is Rated....

Online Dating

Apparently thats what I get for using words like "Crap", "Dead, and "Kill". Well, I could be rated NC-17 but then I would have to listen to people complain about how my language is all crappy and inappropriate.

So...in other words...crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap crap.

Update: Looks like all of my crappy crap words pushed my rating up. Who knew? Apparently "CRAP" is all inappropriately crappy.

Online Dating

ZOMG Update: Obviously this rating system is totally askewed and way overly tweeked, but apparently my LAST update also raised my rating as well. Stupid crappy rating system.

New movie - Hitman

A lot of the people who have already seen the trailer are saying that this movie is going to suck, but these people have obviously never seen a -real- bad movie.

The fact that Fox is taking this and making something big out of it shows that the production and story is at least going to be entertaining. Besides...it looks like Fox is spending the right amount of time making it look good.

Now, as for a BAD movie.....pretty much anything with Uwe Boll as the director or producer or whatever the role of "crappy movie maker" he calls himself. Thank God that Mr. Boll is nowhere near this film.

News! - Cloture vote dies HARD

IT'S OVER AND IT'S ABOUT TIME.

The Cloture vote is over and the move to stop debate was defeated. So, as of right now, the "comprehensive piece of crap immigration reform bill" is effectively dead.

Thank God.

So, maybe Congress can get back to better things like looking at their checkbooks and figuring out they are spending way to dang much. Oh, and while they are at it they can finally bring the Fair Tax to the floor so we can get a better tax system.

Just a few suggestions.

Educated Opinion

Today I'm just going to share an opinion that I have which has been fueled by something that I heard on the Neal Boortz show. Basically Neal's rant consisted of a study that he had heard claims that Sexual orientation is as natural as a person's walk.

His conclusion? That sexual orientation is not changeable.

A conclusion I call a bluff on. Why? Well, because I'm not stupid enough to think that anything a person does is beyond their control. There is NO performable act that cannot be stopped and there is no way of thinking that cannot be altered. Mentally insane and Mentally retarded people do not count. Why? Because their problem is that they cannot stop, but they do not understand basic rules any longer. They do not know any better.

Any man or woman controls who they have sexual interaction with. Just as any man or woman can control if they wish to steal from someone, or assault someone, or even murder someone. If one type of deviant behavior (call me a homophobe if you want but by even liberal's oh so great "evolutionary theory" it would be considered a deviant mutation.) is being accepted then what is to stop all types of deviant behavior from being accepted as natural.

Perhaps natives of the Arabian peninsula are genetically predisposed to suicide and rage? Perhaps serial killers are just genetically predisposed to committing heinous acts of disaster against other human beings? I guess the insanity of men/women trying to copulate with animals is acceptable behavior as well?

Obviously, the only sane answer to all of those questions is "No, those people can control what they do", so why does Homosexuality and Bisexuality get a pass? Because it is agenda driven. The Homosexual crowd thrives on the notion that they might be able to formulate an excuse for their actions. Despite the fact that there has been no corralation between genetics AND homosexuality in any scientific experiment the left will continue claiming otherwise.

Dostoevsky made a wonderful comment that rings terrifyingly true. His words: "If God is dead, then all things are permissible" speaks of a terrible truth in today's modern world where morality and self-control are scorned and instead a society of excuses and carnal attributes reside.

Ed. Note - In writing this I only have one apology to make. Not to the people whom it might offend, for it is my observation and we are all entitled to that. However, I will apologize for the intense heavy nature of my post. I am usually not so humorless and callous, but when ignorance is being passed off as science I must step in and try to correct the damage that it does.

The evidence piles up.

Yet another list of reasons why I will not be investing my "next-gen console" dollars in the Xbox 360.

Wow, 1500 - 2500 malfunctioning systems being sent overseas for repairs a day? That doesn't even take in to consideration the number of units they keep in house to fix right here in America. I understand that the 360 has a larger library of games than any of the other next-gen consoles, but if your spending all your time repairing your system rather than playing your games.....it's just not worth it.

This piece also doesn't cover the other known defect of the 360 permanently damaging DVD's and game CD's by dragging the reflective surface across the readng eye. It creates a "ditch" in the surface making your games unreadable.

Instant $60.00 coaster.

Sorry, but i'm just not going to bite yet. I haven't decided what next-gen console I want just yet, but I can safely say that the choices are now just narrowed down to the Wii or the PS3.

List of sellouts

Update: Allah has the rollcall and a much more in depth live blog of the whole thing. Votes over, but his commentary was entertaining and it was just sad near the end. No humping robots today folks.

The list of all the supporters of the Amnesty bill is up at the Senate's main web page. I refuse to link to the site because I wish to no longer associate with the idiocy that is just pooling out of our elected officials nowadays.

I only find comfort in knowing that my state senators were ballsy enough to stand up to the Democrats and their fellow Republicans and say NO on this stupid, ignorant piece of legislation.

In that I only find a small bit of comfort.

Thing to cheer you up because of the crappy Senate vote today.

Fred Thompson's official YouTube page.

How is that a pick me up? Because, when Fred Thompson says "everything is going to be ok" then by GOD it will be.

Bad News - Cloture vote has passed

Cloture Vote has passed and it got 64 votes for Yes. This means that the actual bill as it stands will go up for vote next week. This is horrible news for people who actually wish to secure the borders and fix the immigration problem. If you are even halfway informed you know that this "comprehensive piece of ****" , as Ace and anyone with half a mind would call it, is basically an Amnesty bill and a bad BAD bill.

I'll update more when I get a link to put up. I'm just waiting to see my conservative bretheren flip out after all of them get the news.

Retarded idea of the Month : Doritos the Game

Well, it might not actually turn out to be a game involving actual doritos, but after the dismal product placement that Burger King had with the Xbox 360 I just see this ending up one of the most horrible public stunts ever.

Doritos justifies this atrocity by saying their product is an "Intense experience"

Now, I have never ate a dorito and said "Holy crap! That experience was so FREAKIN INTENSE!" unless you count the time I ate a whole bag of Fiery Habanero doritos and I didn't have a drink handy to quell the angry heat that was burning within my mouth. I have not done that since, for my friend offered me this bit of wisdom: "Why would you want to eat something that hurts you?"

Indeed.

Now, they do offer some pretty cool prizes for the people who win, but even if you won would you really want to make this game? and actually play it? No, you probably wouldn't, and lets be honest.....unless they make a surfing game where you ride on different flavors of Dorito's it's going to be the most awful thing ever. Don't think about stealing that because I've already submitted it as an idea to the contest.

Why would I participate in a contest which I abhor? Because it's got free stuff to give away and I'm all about free stuff yo. Plus, if I do win something I'll just sell it to get a Playstation 3.

It's from IMAO.

Probably one of the funniest and yet most accurate fake-ads that I have ever seen. If only I could actually get that little gem played on my TV stations around my area.

Evidence - Clinton Tape captures Commission of Crime.

Turns out that a tape from 2000 shows Senator Clinton committing a few felonies regarding her 2000 senate run campaign.

Here's a little snippet from the story:

The tape shows Clinton -- currently the leading Democratic presidential contender -- speaking in 2000 with Peter Paul, a Hollywood mogul, and comic book icon Stan Lee about a massive fundraising event for her 2000 Senate race. Paul spent about $2 million of his own money to produce the event. The legal contribution limit to a candidate then was $2,000.

"The evidence is of that rare type that captures the very commission of a crime, namely, that of knowingly soliciting, coordinating and accepting federal campaign contributions far in excess of the legal limit of $2,000," says the brief to be filed by Paul's attorney with the Court of Appeal, 2nd Appellate District arguing in favor of including the tape as evidence.

Wooooo~ Now that's some heavy cash being thrown around, and it well exceeds the $2000 limit. Turns out that Senator Clinton's campaign was already in trouble for not giving exact and accurate numbers regarding her campaign finance funds, but now we have this video tape that shows her committing these crimes. Hopefully someone will pin this trial to her and make sure it sticks.

Oh, and her hubby/manager Bill Clinton was involved in this as well and while he was still president no less. Kinda funny that none of this is mentioned on Hillary's website or in the other MSM establishments, but i'm not really shocked on that one.

Microsoft Surface - A Realistic Approach

Microsoft Surface Technology Parody

It says "Parody" but it really isn't too far from the truth. Although totally cool the Surface is totally pointless if you don't have $10,000 to spend on it OR if no one else but you has one.

Must be what a Mac user feels like with all that limited user-base. You can visit the site of origin if you like Microsoft 360 humping Mac users with their massively slightly less user base.

Gaming related! There are other MMO's besides World of Warcraft.

Yes, it's true and it's called Warhammer Online.

Yep, the closed beta signups for the European and North American regions are underway and I recommend you sign up for the newsletter too. Why? Because it helps your chances to getting chosen for the CB. At least thats what the website says and since it's subject matter involves Warhammer I must believe it.

My very soul depends on it.

Oh, and if anyone makes a comment on here that claims such moronic things like "zomg! That looks like WoW!" or "More like World of Warhammer!"....well....then I cannot guarantee your safety.

Try these other MMO's out while your at it. Some are golden oldies (if you call 5 years old) but are still alot more fun than NOT playing them.

Sword of the New World
Ragnarok Online
Guild Wars
Final Fantasy XI
Flyff
Rappelz
RF Online

There are plenty of others, but you know....i'm lazy and I don't want to label them all.

That's Not Kanon

New addition to the Blogroll. It's a Blaahg known as "That's Not Kanon: and is run by a friend of mine, Hidoshi. He's got info on anything, and I mean ANYTHING, Anime related. Gaming, Gundam stuff, Conventions...it's all there.

So, how about doing me, and Hidoshi, the favor of stopping by and checking out what he has going over there. He updates pretty darned regularly and I must admit, jealously, that his website is alot more prettier than mine.

Old people are funny....sorta

Mike Gravel is one of those "funny" old people, but not in the Ha-Ha sense, but in the creepy, delirious, "did he escape from assisted living" funny. Now, I think that all of the democratic candidates are so filled with liberal bat-@#$% craziness that none of then have ANY hope of reform, but Gravel is just plain old-fashion, old-skool clinic crazy.

If you've seen any of his...uhh..."commercials" on Youtube then you have probably seen the weirdness first hand. The craziness continues below the fold.

Be warned though! This old guy does know how to throw rocks and start fires....something, im pretty sure of, that could get him put back in his old folks home.
