Old, yet relevant news.

Well, as it turns out that VA tech's neighboring school, Appalachian State, had a similar incident back in 2002. A nigerian student, who had learned that he had failed law school for a second time, returned to the campus and shot 3 people. The dean, professor, and a student were shot in that incident. However, what makes this incident very relevent is the outcome.

What was the outcome? The students at Appalachian State didn't run but instead turned on the gunman, tackled him, and held him down until the police came.

Obviously fear was the factor in the VA tech shootings. The gunman was packing and people were afraid. However, when most people get scared they will fight back. Can anyone be blamed for being scared and not fighting back? Nope, they sure cant.

Except here's the catch. If you, the targeted, are already in the line of fire when the gunman comes after you. Is it not acceptable to say that, as a dead man walking, you should try and take out the attacker and save others rather than go quietly in to the night?

I might be getting some hatemail from this, but hey.....whatever. If it was me you can be sure that I wouldn't go out without a fight.
