Best SWAT team EVER.

Swat Training Backfires

It's labelled as a "Backfire" but it sure sounds like those dudes are having a party afterwards. No doubt that they overdid it quite a bit, but that is the most awesome barricade buster ever.

Seems like fun though and it obviously is when you hear one of them say "whaa zaaah!" about 0:35 seconds in.

Duke players considering lawsuits

It came down the wire, so I just picked this up real quick as an update.

Yes, those players are considering lawsuits and charges against Nifong and hopefully against the "victim" too. I don't think they should pursue some type of outrageous amount, but I think having Nifong and their accusor pay for all of their legal fees and the rest of their college tuition is a pretty good start.

Justice was altered and twisted to fit Nifong's agenda in putting these three boys in jail. Now that Nifong has been removed and the system cleansed of his agenda-driven twist justice can finally be served on the people that need to be put behind bars.

Michael Nifong and Crystal Gail Mangum (The lying stripper that tried to put these innocent fellows in prison.)

He's not only a racist, but sexist too!

Well, now that they've beat the racist horse to death they move on to sexism now.  Now, i'm not a fan of CNN and I have to admit that I don't watch the news network unless there just isn't anything on ABC, NBC or FOX, but I do check out the commentaries they include on their website.

Now, Roland Martin isn't a bad columnist and, although I disagree with him sometimes, he doesn't make me want to poke myself in the eye from reading pure idiocy like the other crap that come from his fellow columnists, but this time he just crossed that line.

No one would have thought that when Rosa Parks opted not to give up her seat to a white man in 1956, a dozen years later blacks would have the full right to vote, the ability to eat in hotels and restaurants and see Jim Crow destroyed.

First paragraph we have to take a time trip back 51 years to the civil rights movement? This incident was HARDLY worthy of bringing up Rosa Parks, but Roland decided that the entirely irrelevant history lesson was...well...relevant.

We might look back in a few years and come to realize that the removal of Don Imus from the public airwaves put America on a course that changed the dialogue on what is acceptable to say in public forums.

 O_o....

Really? What is acceptable? Gee, I figured that this was America and free speech was allowed. Yes, even discriminatory speech is allowed and thats just the way it is. Look at Rosie O'Donnell, she has taken her airtime on The View to spread conspriatory and idiotic statements about the Bush Administration and, just recently, The British Government.

Sure, it makes her look like a moron and alot of people were outraged and upset that someone would say something like that, but she has the right to make an idiot of herself. The ratings will take care of the problem.....the viewers will tune out when they get tired of hearing it and thats what should have happened to Imus. Sure, the comment was stupid but to have him lynched and dragged out of his job like he was....it was just plain wrong.

Now, back to the topic at hand. Roland Martin has stated in his article that this was more of a sexist remark more than a racist issue. Even going as far to say that he, personally, felt that it being a racist issue wasn't the primary issue.

I bet.

However, he takes the time to comment on certain women who had risen through their lives and made something of themselves. Hillary and Condi were mentioned and he did give an objective viewpoint of each, but then he started on the Rutgers team and how this comment robbed them of their success story. Really? First time I had ever HEARD of Rutgers was when this whole thing hit the news.

For the record: They still lost to Tennessee, and that technically doesn't make it a success story, but im all about logistics so whatever.

It's been an opportunist circus from the beginning and Roland has just taken the time to switch the gears from one topic to another. The racist thing is getting old so he needs to drudge up a new charge against Imus. Sexism won out. BUT! what about all those sexist remarks found in hip-hop music and in the black culture today? Well, Roland put me in my place rather quickly.

America, we have a problem with sexism. Don't try to make this whole matter about the ridiculous rants made by rappers. I deplore what's in a lot of their music and videos, but hip-hop is only 30 years old. So you mean to tell me that sexism in America only started in 1977?

Really? I'm sure you deplore their music. That's why your writing a column bashing Imus and how HE was a racist instead of turning your eyes upon your own culture and focusing there. I'm not really calling you a hypocrite, but whatever.

To answer his question: No. Sexism existed long before America even came in to creation. Sexism existed before the birth of Christ, but now were supposed to be surprised by it? Does it make it less offensive that it's been around forever? No, not at all but to act surprised or shocked that Sexism exists today is naive.

He goes on to claim that sexism reaches in to the very depths of our society and in our churches, mosques, synagouges, schools, and fortune 500 companies. Yeah, thats because certain faiths have certain creeds and guess what! Many women don't care these days. The ones that do are so soft skinned and hysterical that they many of them fail at making the most simple of decisions. The women who are truly strong and take life head on have achieved far greater things in their lives than their offended sisters in womanhood. they didn't let things get them down or bother them, they rose above it and achieved greater heights. They didn't use their sex as a crutch to vault forwards on....they threw it away and carve their own niche in to history.

Roland needs to get that through his head. Women can achieve whatever they wish to achieve. They just need to quit fighting men because it isn't man who has placed the glass ceiling above their heads. They did it to themselves.

Don Imus should not be the period. He can be the comma. Civil rights organizations, media entities, women's groups and others have an opportunity that they can't pass up. We have the chance to seize the moment to begin a conversation -- an in-depth one -- that has the opportunity to redefine America along the lines of race and sex.

Redefine it? That's a dangerous, slippery slope my friend. Once you start picking and choosing what can or cannot be said you head down that road to censorship and the next thing you have is governmental oversight upon speech or expression. Then the 1st amendment will be practically useless and America will have lost one more freedom.

Hillary! is on the move.

Update: Well, there isn't really any update because the story fell in to obscurity. As far as I know she went and spoke with them but nothing else was covered so...moving on.

I'll have more on the story as it develops but it seems that The Harpy is flying on her wings of doom towards Rutgers University.

I imagine she is only responding to Barry Obama's comment after the weekend stint with Rutgers and their basketball team. I said I wasn't going dwell on that last topic and i'm not so don't accuse me of it. This is about Hillary!

She has said that this is regarding women and women's rights and all that stuff attached. I don't know much yet, but ill have an update soon. I can only imagine what the harpy will say.

No sir, he doesnt look suspicious at all!

Barack in trouble?

Nope, not one bit. I'm sure some leftist organization will jump to his aide and claim that The Patriot Act devalued his rights and blah blah blah.

One less Al-Qaeda whackjob to deal with now. click the hyperlink for the whole story. I'm to lazy to write it all down.

Ok, I promise this is the last one.

Balls Of Steel Militant Black Guy

What can I say....it's a joke video and it's pretty darn funny. In lieu of all of the actual "Fight the Powah" antics tearing network televison apart, I figured this was fitting.

Oh, no more Imus/militant black topics for the rest of the month. I've pretty much worn it out.

Well, Sharpton leads the attack on the 1st Amendment

I know that the news stations, blogs, and now I have beat this horse until it died two days ago, but I just can't help commenting on Sharpton's little comment he made in a conference after Imus got fired.

The Reverend (of whatever congretation) Sharpton said "This is only the beginning. A walk that CBS must do and a walk that others must do. Then we must have a broad discussion on what is permitted and not permitted."

Now, that is the essential message that he flung out there. Almost word for word too. So what does that sound like? Sounds like censorship to me! Apparently the 1st amendment only applies when your sitting by yourself in a room where NOBODY can hear you.

It won't be long before you'll have people screaming for the "Fairness Doctrine" to be put back in to place. Once that happens ALL of the talk radios and the news casts are going to go straight to hell.

straight there

Global Warming broke this April....

Well, curse you Global Warming.  I guess the whole climate change monster forgot to get crackin this april. We've experienced the coldest April on record, and yet the MSM (mainstream media) has yet to annouce this phenomenon. They'll crank out the Al Gore comments and "documentary" if the temperature raises to 80º when it's supposed to be 78º, but don't let a little snow fool ya....I bet it's going to be hotter this summer than it was ALL YEAR LONG.

If you didn't catch the satire there then you, my friend, are hopeless.

Moving on! The story claims that the damage done to all of the crops in question is nearing "hurricane damage". Now, thats alot of food being killed off by lowering tempuratures and frost. I've experienced this frost menace myself lately as well. I have two butterfly bushes in my planters out front, but now they look dead and useless. If Global Warming had been keeping track of the schedule that the IPCC set for it then im sure my plants wouldn't have died, but you know weather.....it blows all over the place.

The article also states that many farmers are going to be asking for federal aide.

Yay.

NBC caves....Imus gets the boot.

Well, I figured with the disreputable Al Sharpton and the malignant personality that is Jesse jackson breathing down NBC's necks that they would eventually cave and send Don Imus packing. I guess it doesn't matter that both Sharpton and Jackson are more guilty of instigating racism than just about anyone today. Quite a bit of irony that two racists chase after a man who made a comment in the attempts at creating satire, all the while screaming RACIST!

I'm actually quite surprised that I didn't see Louis "They bombed the levee's" Farrakahn leaping around the streets and doing cartwheels in outrage. What has become of our country? Have we become so soft and spongy that mere words can crush a persons job, family, and reputation? Don Imus wasn't a great radio personality (jn my opinion) and i'm not a fan at all, but the dude got a bad shakedown all because somebody "got offended".

Why can't these supposed "outraged" go after something worth fighting such as the gangster mentality that is flooding the hip-hop/rap scene or how about jumping all of those black comedians who think it's real damn funny to crack on white people like it's goin out of style?

They wont. They can't.

If they do then they will be powerless.

Shocker : N.Korea tries to delay reactor shutdown.

You know...aside from the whole immigration amnesty bill and the occasions where the administration has failed to push back against their opponents they haven't really let me down at all. That is....until today.

Turns out we're going to be unfreezing those $25 million dollars in funds today or tomorrow. The N.Koreans, like in the Clinton days, play their "Oh, we are SOOOO sorry for mis-behaving. Will you puuuhhhhleeease give us another chance?" card and of course.....we fall for it again.

I swear this morning I could hear all of Japan go "AWWWW CRAAAP" when we announced we were releasing the funds. Of course....at the same time we announce this the N. Koreans then say they want to delay the reactor shutdown. Not surprising really. Who's to say that they will actually shut it down?

Oh, not really on topic with the reactor or anything, but it turns out that they subjected our ambassadors to a propaganda tape showing how they could "hurt us" that was shown on a boat that actually belongs to the U.S. that they captured years ago in the Korean War. Typical bully tactics....trying to instill superiority. Why are we even dealing with these guys again....just shut em down already.

Here's a BIG Double-Standard.

Double Standard?

Wow, all I can say is WOW. That was on C-SPAN and people were applauding in the background. That kinda makes Don Imus' comment very very VERY benign (as if it wasn't anyways).

Apparently it's alright to exterminate all white people, but dissin' some shorties nappy-ole head is uncalled for? puh-lease.

News: Duke rape charges to be dropped. Finally.

Well, this was a long time coming. However, I am positive this will be the last we hear of this case. The supposed "victim" and her plot-holes a plenty will probably moan and complain that the LaCrosse team-members are being found guilty of nothing. She can complain all she wants though....the guys didn't do anything like she said they did and the evidence proves it.

Still, where do they actually get exonerated in the eyes of the people though? A woman and her ignorant attorney dragged these three men through the mud and tarnished their names and the two of them don't even have the stones to issue an apology? Well, that might be too much to ask for, but a "Hey, sorry for being such a lying, coniving, and pretty much all around no-good decietful person." would be pretty good.

Either that or she should be forced to publicly exonerate them and then pay their legal fees.

It's a week old. So what.

Oreilly vs. Geraldo.

It's old but I don't really care. I love watching the two of them start screaming at each other like little children. Still, Geraldo does show his constant habit of basically vomiting words out of his mouth and making an ass out of himself. The whole "We lured them here" arguement? REALLY?!

If having the best country in the world is "luring" people here then I guess were guilty, but the real reason why they flee their own country is because their home country's government sucks. Anyways, enjoy the video.

Shocker : Iran vows to expand nuclear plans

Well, this doesnt come to a surprise and anyone could have predicted it really. The U.N. is going to keep on waving papers and sanction threats at Tehran and the whole damned country is STILL going to keep on enriching uranium and moving towards building a nuclear power/weapons cache.

The IAEA says that it can't confirm that Iran's nuclear endeavors are peaceful, and the only word that comes to mind is "duuuuh". I'm just kinda waiting for Israel to swoop in and handle this issue like they've done in the past. Obviously we're not going to do anything about it.

Barack in trouble maybe? Could be? Should be?

Barack in trouble?

Well it seems that Barack has gotten himself in to some hot water on a little photo taken while he was sitting in his Capital Hill office. The photo shows Barack sitting with his Political/Media advisor David Axelrod having a discussion, but as to what that discussion was about no one really knows.

The reason why this is a sorta-big thing is because Senate ethics rules forbids the use of federal office space for political and campaign activity. So, IF Barack was discussing something along those lines he could find himself facing the ethics committee.

The First Amendawhat?

Well, if you haven't been completely under a rock for the last few days then i'm sure you've heard about Don Imus and his "racially charged" comment about the Rutgers womens basketball team. The longtime radio personality was discussing, with a co-host, a game starring the Rutgers basketball team in which he made the comment about them being "Nappy headed" and if my memory serves me correctly "ho's".

Now, I am not jumping to the aide of Don Imus at all. As a matter of fact....I REALLY don't like the guy and he proves, on his own merits, that he is a drooling moron who uses his political program to bash anything conservative. However, I do find it just a bit unsettling that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and all of their bogus movements are lining up to use this as a racial issue. The terms he used were hardly racially charged, but leave it up to the faux reverends to lead a coalition to toss the man under the bus.

I understand the consequences of saying what you think and I don't think that his actions go without some consequence, but using race as a means to force an outcome is abusing the system and honestly....Sharpton and Jackson should butt out. The ratings will determine Imus' future and if the people don't want to hear him anymore....then he'll be out of the job.

Until then...MSNBC announced today that they will be suspending Don Imus for two whole weeks. Wasn't enough to appease the likes of Sharpton, but then again....nothing does.

Don Imus Visits Al Sharpton

There's a nice video of Imus on Sharpton's radio program. kind of ironic that a well known racist (sharpton) is charging Imus for making a not-really-so-racist comment.

New blog site!

Well, this is a new experimental blog (of course) which i'm hoping will allow me more coverage and hopefully more options than my old blog: http://ledviews.blogspot.com.

Well, other than a few weird bugs it's looking alright so far, and i'll be adding real news throughout the day.
