Pizza Bomber case - revisited

They have people arrested now, but now they are wondering of the Pizza man himself was in on the scheme.

I'm not saying that it's impossible to think so, but I am questioning how logical it would be to consider that he was apart of it. For two reasons really:
1) He's dead now so his involvement is technically moot.
2) If he was really involved in the plot and not an innocent man dragged in to a horrible situation....why would he have actually put a LIVE BOMB around his neck?

I mean....if he, the pizza man, was really in on the robbery why didnt he just "fake" the device? What could he have possibly gained by placing a live explosive device around his neck.

Obviously, all of the facts haven't been brought in so it's still likely that the Pizza Man -was- in fact in on the act the whole time. However, I still stand by my first observation that he was an innocent bystander that was forced to do something he didn't want to do.

Kinda reminds me of those SAW movies in a way, and we all know that there are copycat criminals who mimic things all the time.
